Jimmy McMillan, Future New York Governor

On November 14, 2010, by AMI Staff

It’s never “politics as usual” when Future Governor Jimmy McMillan of the Rent is Too Damn High Party gets involved. Whether it’s threatening to bulldoze mountains or fighting for the rights of shoes to express their love openly in the bonds of holy matrimony, McMillan (a.k.a. Papa Smurf, a.k.a. The Black Hulk Hogan, a.k.a. Santa Claus on Venus) is not afraid to leave his gloves on and talk about the issues.

He’s also nowhere near as sleazy as Andrew Cuomo. Okay, so maybe that one is not as far-fetched as some of the other things you may have heard about McMillan. Despite all of this, plus a ringing endorsement from the American Mustache Institute and an appearance on YNN by the esteemed Dr. Perlut touting the merits of his candidacy, McMillan and his imposing Imperial style mustache (known on his hometown streets of Brooklyn as the “General Lee”) came up just a hair short in the 2010 New York gubernatorial race.

But Mr. McMillan, as his karate training commands him, was gracious enough in defeat to grant an interview with AMI North Dakota Bureau Chief Dan DeWald.

Why? Because the rent…is still…too damn high.
