Venue for ‘Stache Bash Changes to The Outfield

On November 11, 2010, by AMI Staff

In honor of Al Hraobsky’s Gateway Arch-size mustache, in 2010 we had agreed to return ‘Stache Bash and the naming of the prestigious “Robert Goulet Memorial Mustached American of the Year” to Al Hrabosky’s Ballpark Saloon. However, this week — less than a month before the Dec. 4 ‘Stache Bash event — Hrabosky’s was purchased, and we were left out in the cold.

Enter, Gary VanMatre of Mike Shannon’s Steaks & Seafood in downtown St. Louis.

We called Gary upon learning of the situation with Hrabosky’s, and he immediately stepped up to the plate, graciously offering to hold it in “The Outfield At Mike Shannon’s,” which is the large and spacious, undercover outdoor patio facing Busch Stadium.

And no worries on temperatures for a Dec. 4 event — The Outfield will be enclosed and heated.
