The PGA TOUR is not one littered with people of Mustached American heritage.
That’s why the Mustached American community is taking note of young Andres Gonzales, the 28-year-old Fu Manchu-wearing Olympia, Washington-native, who’s mouth umbrella is defining a new brand of Mustached American professional golfer for a new generation of fans.
Gonzales has made the cut in all three career starts on the PGA TOUR, most recently at the 2009 RBC Canadian Open, and finished 39th at the 2010 Chattanooga Classic, one of two made cuts on the Nationwide Tour in 15 career starts. The other came at the 2008 RexHospital Open. He played on the (Communist) Canadian Tour from 2007-2010, where he won the 2009 Saskatchewan Open on that Tour. And Gonzales won the 2007 Trilogy Golf Classic on the Gateway Tour.
Gonazles’ Twitter account says he’s “half man, half amazing.” All it lacks is to add he’s “all mustache.” So keep your eye on Gonzales as he progresses on tour, as his lower nose garment, and swing, are certain to earn him acclaim.
