Who wants more mustache? I do, you do, even Eva Longoria does. More importantly, the 12.3 readers of the AMI blog can't have enough. Soon you shall have more.
On Thursday, July 3 at Pat's Bar in the Dogtown neighborhood of St. Louis, Dan Callahan and Aaron Perlut of the AMI will begin hosting a new Web program on ToastedRav.com called "American Mustache." Just last night, mustache-loving band The Takedown of St. Louis went into the studios to record the new theme song for the show, which you can read more about here, in a blog posting from "American Mustache" executive producer and all around good egg George Sells.
Sells, you may recall, did an informative piece on the mustache and AMI for ToastedRav.com a few months back. He is a believer.
So what can you expect from "American Mustache?" Aside from an overt hatred of "Sex And The City," we expect it to be much like the old "Man Show" on Comedy Central - when it was still funny - before they replaced Kimmel and Carolla with Joe Rogan and it got ruined. We'll talk sports, music, beer, mustaches, women, beer, mustaches, sports, music, beer and women. Intellectual fare, no doubt, but it will be fun and will get better each time around as we improve on the formula. We'll have musical and celebrity guests, the occasional oddities, midgets, monkeys, mullets, chainsaws, pickup trucks, and God willing, Mr. T.
More to come - we'll be sure to let you know when we are up and running on ToastedRav.com.
Carry on.
